IDAHO LOTTERY PLAYER SCORES $100,000 POWERBALL PRIZE! 

BOISE – Delbert Jones quit his job as a bartender earlier this summer so he could play more. He can play a lot more after winning $100,000 playing Idaho Powerball. Jones matched all 5 white balls but not the red Powerball. 

Jones bought the winning ticket at Garden Valley Store in Garden Valley, where he always buys a 10-draw ticket. It wasn’t until after all 10 draws were played that he came in to buy another and check his ticket that he found out he won.  

Jones plans to buy a new truck with his winnings.  

The Powerball jackpot is currently at $28 million, and the next drawing is Saturday August 28, 2004.  

Powerball is the multi-state lotto game that offers players nine ways to win. Players select five numbers from 1 to 53 and a Powerball from 1 to 42. The jackpot is won by matching 5 numbers plus the Powerball. Odds of winning a cash prize are 1 in 36. Jackpot odds are 1 in 120 million. Drawings are held each week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:59pm MST.
