LOTTERY PLAYER UNCOVERS $70,000 BOOTY WITH TREASURE CHEST TICKET!
BOISE – Most people hate April 15 because it’s tax day. Some people fork over their cash while others get some back. John Houy is one of the lucky ones who loves tax day – he scratched off an Idaho Lottery Treasure Chest ticket and won $70,000.
John, who never buys lottery tickets, was at the gas station filling up. When the customer in front of him bought the last Treasure Chest in the store, John felt an unexplainable urge to also get one. So he went to another store down the road and bought three! “It is totally out of character for me,” he says. “But I just felt it was a sign when that guy got the last one.”
So what’s he going to do with the prize money? “I’m going to pay my taxes, of course,” he says. “And it’s going to help a lot. I really appreciate this!” He added that he’s going to spend the remainder on his six children.
John bought the winning ticket at Fairway Gas in Rathdrum.
