$30,000 MARKS 30TH ANNIVERSARY FOR IDAHO LOTTERY PLAYERS!

BOISE – Magdalena and Bruce Barker were wondering how to spend their 30th wedding anniversary. Thanks to the $30,000 top prize on the Double Triple Cashword scratch ticket that Magdalena uncovered today, they have a few more options. 

Magdalena plays Cashword tickets all the time at the Scogans Food in Fruitland on her way home from work. She bought three $3 tickets and won $4 on one. She felt lucky and bought two more. The last one happened to yield the top prize. 

She called Bruce right away with news of winning but wouldn’t tell him how much. When he got home, she made him guess the prize. “She was just sitting there drinking a cup of tea when I walked in,” he says. “I didn’t believe her at all.”

The couple plans to pay bills, take a vacation to visit friends in Mississippi and then celebrate their 30th anniversary. 

“Thirty thousand for our thirtieth anniversary; they go together pretty well!” says Magdalena.
