Winning Wild Card Ticket Sold in Bannock County

 

Boise – Someone from eastern Idaho could be a brand new multi-millionaire and not even know it. Idaho Lottery Officials this morning have confirmed the $2.78 million winning Wild Card 2 ticket from last Saturday’s night draw was sold in Bannock County. 

 

No one has contacted the Idaho Lottery to claim ownership of the jackpot winning ticket.  Idaho Lottery officials are encouraging everyone in eastern Idaho to check their tickets from Saturday night’s draw carefully.

 

“It is paramount that players check their tickets for winners, but also sign the back of their ticket before submitting them for validation to secure their ownership,” stated Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. 

 

The winning numbers for the ticket were 2, 15, 18, 19, 26 and the wild card was the ace of spades.  Wild Card is a lotto-style game played only in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. The winning jackpot for Wild Card was the largest in the game’s history.

 

As part of routine security measures and precautions, the Idaho Lottery is continuing the process of verifying the retail location where the ticket was sold before disclosing that information. More information may be available as the day progresses.

 

A Meridian woman has already claimed a $5,000 winning Wild Card ticket from last Saturday night’s draw. Joyce Schultz, a regular lottery player, matched all five numbers on the game and had an ace for her wild card. 

 

“Unfortunately it was the ace of hearts. I was just so close. I’ll be interested to see who wins the big jackpot!” said an excited Schultz who plans on framing her souvenir check.

 

The individual holding the winning ticket from Saturday night’s draw has 180 days from Saturday evening to claim their prize from Lottery Headquarters in Boise.
