The big money game! Powerball is America’s BIG draw game that grows by the millions. There are nine ways to win, twice a week. The Powerball jackpot always starts at $20 million and it keeps climbing until someone wins.  

HOW TO PLAY

Anytime you purchase Powerball with PowerPlay and match 5 of 5 white balls, you will automatically win $1,000,000. If you play your own lucky numbers, for $2 per play, select the number of draws you wish to play – choose from the next 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, or 10 draws from the red “MULTI DRAW” column on the left. Below this, select “YES” in the yellow column for “PowerPlay”. Next, select five numbers out of 59 in the "Pick 5" area on the playslip and then choose one number out of the 39 in the "Pick 1" Powerball area. If you prefer to let the computer choose your numbers, ask the Idaho Lottery retailer clerk for a Quick Pick ticket with PowerPlay for up to 10 consecutive draws.

Depending on which number is selected for that night’s draw, the PowerPlay multiplier will remain 2, 3, 4 or 5 times for all non-jackpot winning tickets on the seven remaining lower level prizes – winning up to $50,000. The $200,000 “Match 5” prize with PowerPlay is always $1,000,000.

POWERBALL

Regular Powerball tickets are still just $1 per play for up to 10 consecutive draws. Remember, you need PowerPlay to multiply your non-jackpot prize up to 5 times.

  * Match 5 Bonus: Whenever the Powerball jackpot reaches a record level, the increase of the jackpot prize will be limited for each draw to no more than $25 million. The prize money collected in excess of the advertised jackpot amount, will be placed in a pool and will accumulate until there is a jackpot winner. When there is a jackpot winner, the bonus prize option pool will be divided equally among all winners of the $200,000 Match 5 prize. If there are no Match 5 winners it will roll down to the Match 4/5 + 1 prize level. The Match 5 prize may be increased to $1 MILLION or more.
