1. Meeting Called to Order
Meeting called to order by Chairman Fisher at 10:00 AM.
2. Strategic Plan Review
Before discussing the Strategic Plan, Director Anderson reminded the Commission of the next Commission meeting and dividend presentation being held on July 15 and the live Powerball draw at the Snake River Stampede on July 19.
Director Anderson briefly discussed the Strategic Plan that was sent to the Commission for review before it is to be finalized and sent to DFM.
3. Monopoly Millionaire Discussion
Director Anderson indicated that we still do not have finalized governance documents, game group rules, game specifications or a game matrix for Monopoly Millionaire. In addition, the particulars of the television game show are not finalized either. While this isn’t as big of a concern for other lotteries, it is for us. Since we will be unable to bring anything before the Commission until at least the July meeting we are going to push off our launch of this game. The game is launching in October but because we don’t have all the information we need at this point and couldn’t get an approval until July even if we had everything, the workback plan to make it all happen is problematic. Therefore, we will be planning to launch in March of 2015. We have an exciting line up of Draw Games that will allow us to move this game back and not encounter any revenue difficulties. We are swapping in our new Instaplay games into Monopoly Millionnaire’s launch spot. Instaplay has already been approved by the Commission.
4. Setting of the Dividend
Director Anderson went on to discuss setting the dividend. He made the recommendation to the Commission to declare a dividend of $49,000,000 making this yet another record dividend paid to our beneficiaries on another year of record sales.
Commissioner Michael moved to set the dividend at $49,000,000, seconded by Commissioner Keyes. The vote was unanimous for approval and it was set at $49,000,000.
Commissioner Keyes moved to adjourn. Commissioner Kerrick seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous for approval and the meeting was adjourned.
I hereby certify that the foregoing minutes are a true and correct record of the actions and decisions made by the Lottery Commission.
Jeffrey R. Anderson, Executive Director
Lottery Commission Secretary
