Some people play the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle with a purpose. That was the case for Jennifer Boemer and her husband from Meridian.
A year ago, her husband won one of the 25,000th raffle ticket’s $1,000 prizes. So, this year, as his birthday approached, she decided it was her turn to try and win. As the tickets got closer and closer to ticket 175000, she headed to her favorite store and patiently waited for her chance.
“I was deliberately trying to win it. I was determined. And then, I did it!” Jennifer said proudly.
The big win came just before her husband’s birthday.
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate his birthday than with this win,” she started to explain. “Or better yet, we’re taking this $1,000 and going to Vegas for his birthday!”
She and her husband both hope they still win one of the two $1,000,000 prizes from this ticket or one of their others.
“But at the least, we’re going to have a great celebration for his birthday now!” she said.
