$1,000,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Oneida County; Free Powerball Tickets Tomorrow with Raffle Purchase

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô The Idaho Lottery confirmed this morning that one winning Powerball ticket which matched all five of the first numbers from Saturday night's draw and worth $1 million was sold at an Idaho Lottery retail location in Oneida County along the Idaho-Utah border. The winning numbers from Saturday night's draw were 19, 42, 45, 48, 53, and the Powerball was 16.

Oneida County is located in southeastern Idaho and traversed by Interstate 15. The retail locations in this part of the state saw a sales increase from the north-south traffic along this highway corridor for the extended Fourth of July weekend. No one has contacted the Idaho Lottery regarding this winning ticket.

"A lot of people experience Idaho's outdoor opportunities this time of the year, so it's entirely possible the winner does not know they have won a million dollars," said David Workman, Idaho Lottery Public Information Specialist. "We are encouraging everyone to check their tickets carefully for winners and to sign the back of their tickets."

To celebrate the Fourth of July, on Tuesday the Idaho Lottery will launch a "Fourth of July Raffle" with a top prize of $100,000. Tickets are $10 each and only 50,000 will be sold in the game. Players who purchase a $10 Fourth of July Raffle ticket on Tuesday, July 4th between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM, local time, will receive a free $2 Powerball ticket good for Wednesday night's Powerball draw estimated at $121 million.

The Fourth of July Raffle game is only sold at Idaho Lottery retail locations in Idaho. They go on sale at 1:00 AM Mountain Time on July 4, 2017. Three business days after all 50,000 tickets are sold, the Idaho Lottery will announce the game's winning numbers. There are 6,861 total prizes in the game, ranging from $15 up to the $100,000 top prize.

The $1 million Powerball winner has until December 28, 2017 to claim their prize. Idaho Lottery Offices will be closed on Tuesday in observance of the July 4th holiday. They will re-open at 8 AM Mountain Time on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
