Luck Happens Again! Eastern Idaho Sells another Big Powerball Winner

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô For the second time in the last eight days, eastern Idaho is looking for another big Powerball winner. The Idaho Lottery has confirmed that one ticket matched the first five numbers of last night's Powerball draw, but did not match the Powerball itself, making it worth $200,000. This ticket does not have the PowerPlay multiplier. The winning numbers for last night's Powerball draw were 04, 23, 31, 42, 50 and the Powerball number was 23.

"Idaho is one of the luckiest places to play Powerball right now, especially in eastern Idaho where all four of our big winners have been sold in the past five months," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "We are encouraging everyone who played Powerball in last night's draw to check their tickets carefully for winners. Too often we see players not match the Powerball and think they do not have a winning ticket. In this case, the ticket matched all five of the first numbers and is worth $200,000."

In the past 15 months, six of the last eight $200,000 or higher Powerball winners have been sold in eastern Idaho. Last night's winner has 180 days to claim their prize. The Idaho Lottery will be closed on Monday, May 30, 2011 in observance of Memorial Day, but will be open during regular business hours on Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

With no jackpot winner Wednesday night, the Powerball jackpot for Saturday night's draw is an estimated $171 million.

The Idaho Lottery is also reminding players over the long Memorial Day weekend that when they play, to please play responsibly.
