FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BOISE, Idaho – The last top prize from the Idaho Lottery Scratch game, $1,000,000 Cash was won by Corey Dryden after he claimed his winnings in Boise on Monday afternoon. He purchased his winning ticket from the Albertsons Marketplace on Broadway in Boise last Friday night.
“I was getting a few things from the store before the big Boise State game and had a feeling I should buy a ticket” explained Dryden. “I already had a $50 winning ticket that I cashed in and got another ticket. This is the first ticket I’ve ever purchased at Albertsons. I just had a feeling I needed to get a ticket there when I got our groceries.”
It turned out to be a million-dollar feeling for Dryden. He scratched the ticket in his vehicle, scanned it with the Idaho Lottery app, and saw he had just become Idaho’s newest millionaire.
“I called my wife to tell her I’d won. I was so serious at first, she thought someone had died,” he said.
Dryden plans to invest the winnings for his family’s future.
For selling the winning ticket, Albertsons receives a bonus of $20,000 from the Idaho Lottery.
