Powerball Jackpot Soars to $177 MILLION! Lottery Urges Responsible Play

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô The Powerball jackpot for tonight's draw is estimated at $177 million for the 30-payment annuity. The one-time cash jackpot for tonight's draw is $120.6 million. The Idaho Lottery Director reminds players to play responsibly, to not go overboard, and to play what they can afford.

ÔÇï"Any time the Powerball jackpot reaches high levels there is always an increase in player participation in the game," said Idaho Lottery Director, Jeff Anderson. "We want to remind everyone that when they do play, to please do so responsibly."

ÔÇïThe Lottery just recently kicked-off a statewide campaign to celebrate 20 years of Powerball in Idaho. In Powerball's history in Idaho, this game alone has created 15 millionaires including eight jackpot winners. Richard & Lorraine Hallisy from Lewiston, Idaho were the most recent $1,000,000 winners. Their ticket was from the April 21, 2012 Powerball drawing.

ÔÇïThe last opportunity players have to purchase a ticket for the $177 Million Powerball jackpot is tonight at 7:55 p.m. Mountain Time when the draw closes. The winning numbers are announced at 8:59 p.m. Mountain Time.

ÔÇïPlayers can check their tickets for winners by visiting idaholottery.com after the draw, by calling the Idaho Lottery's winning numbers hotline (208-334-4656), or by checking their tickets at Idaho Lottery retail locations.

ÔÇï"We encouraging players who buy a ticket for tonight's drawing to sign their tickets at the time of purchase. All lottery tickets are bearer instruments, meaning we pay the person who signs the ticket and presents it for payment," added Anderson.

Good luck Idaho!ÔÇï
