Tax Day Relief - Two "Match 5" $200,000 Powerball prizes won in Idaho!

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô It may be Tax Day in America, but two lucky Idaho Lottery players could be getting something extra after matching all five white ball numbers (a "Match 5" win), but not the Powerball, in last night's $177.6 million draw. Two winning tickets, each worth $200,000, were sold in Idaho; one in Boise and the other in Malad City, along the Idaho-Utah border. The winning numbers for last night's Powerball draw were: 6, 14, 32, 38, 52 and the Powerball number was 20.

"Idaho continues to be a very lucky place to play the Lottery," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "And what better way to greet Tax Day than with two, $200,000 Powerball winners."

This is the third consecutive year where Idaho has had multiple $200,000 winners from the same draw. Last year, on the May 20, 2009 Powerball draw the Idaho Lottery had two winners; one from Pocatello and the other from Caldwell. And just like this year, on February 16, 2008, two winning Powerball tickets were sold in Boise and in Malad City.

"Too often people think they do not have a winning ticket if they did not match the Powerball number itself," stated Anderson. "We are encouraging everyone who had a Powerball ticket for last night's draw to check their tickets carefully. These tickets did not match the Powerball number, but did match every other number making them $200,000 winners."

Last month's "Match 5" winning ticket with the Powerplay option worth $1,000,000 that was sold in Irwin, Idaho, has still received no phone calls or inquiries from any potential winner.

With no jackpot winner Wednesday night, the Powerball jackpot for Saturday night's draw is $212 million. And Friday night, the Mega Millions with Megaplier jackpot is $122 million.

"There is a lot of excitement with $334 million in jackpot prizes available between the two big games on Friday and Saturday night," cautioned Anderson. "You must play to win, but remember to please play responsibly and only play what you can afford. Don't go overboard."
