Without high-sensitivity equipment, our young performers' hard work is often lost to the audience, which can be discouraging for a child finding their voice on stage."

Teacher Trevor Stoneberg says "The P.E. department at Lowell Scott Middle School is currently facing an equipment shortage. We have had the same equipment for approximately 20 years. We are unable to provide certain activities that the kids love participating in. Our goal as a P.E. department is to get more kids active as well as have more community involvement. I currently have almost 800 kids that come through the P.E. department so this new equipment would benefit the entire student body as well as the community. Exercise!"

Any art/craft activities fall on the classroom teachers to implement wherever they can squeeze in time between math and reading. I have been the K-5 Computer teacher for about 10 years, and I love it! Unfortunately, the students need more than they are getting. Our students utilize iPads in their classrooms, then come to me for more screen time. I feel like we can do better for them."

Additionally, headphones promote independence by allowing students to access accommodations like text-to-speech or recorded instructions without needing constant teacher assistance. Overall, headphones create a more accessible, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that helps students stay engaged and succeed academically."
