This Wishlist will buy books to create a little classroom library for Jennifer Grunhardt.

Ms. Grunhardt says “My dream, as a first-grade teacher, is to have an inviting classroom library. A place where my students want to spend time. A place that is beautiful and cozy. My classroom library is currently plain. It does its job of having books for my students to read. The items on my Wishlist will help my dream come true."

Teacher Kathy Maggs  says "What I did notice with my students was their love of books. It was such a treat for them to have read a book of their choosing. Many of my students would comment on not having books at home. These students would be the most excited about looking at books. A more substantial reading library will be welcoming for students, increase their literacy skills, and offer books for students who do not have access to books at home, and the variety of books will increase their interest in reading."

This wishlist will give Fencing panels, posts, cement bags, and screws to help with construction of an enclosed outdoor play area. Teacher Mindi Gra says, “I have students of differing ages and ability levels in academic, social interaction, communication, and fine and gross motor skills. Our school needs a playground that our special needs students can use that fits their unique needs for safe, outdoor play."

Wish Delivered: Sensory Items

This wishlist will provide sensory items, STEM toys, playground equipment, games, puzzles, and books. Teacher Echo Davis says “The sensory items will help with the special needs within pre-k. They will provide sensory opportunities to help regulate emotions and the students learning process. Basin preschool is tuition free and one of the longest running and most successful preschools in Idaho. That being said, the equipment needs to be replaced, books, puzzles and new toys are also desperately needed.
