The 20th edition of the popular Idaho Lottery school fundraiser program Scratch for Schools was unlike any conducted over the previous nineteen years. There were 409 schools who participated, many of whom were deeply involved with distance learning or complete school shutdowns. Instead of gathering in large gymnasiums and arenas, this year each school participated remotely. The schools claimed over $89,000 in winnings that provided much needed classroom assistance. To date, more than $1.4 million has been returned to individual schools for classroom needs, making Idaho public schools the real winners.
