BOISE – The summer heat was no sweat for Fred Anderson. Nothing could keep him from joy when he rolled into the Lottery office with a winning $100,000 Powerball ticket from the drawing on Wednesday, June 15, 2005! Fred matched all 5 white balls but not the red Powerball.

Fred picked the numbers because they kept showing up when he was balancing his checkbook. He took it as a sign and played those numbers.

Now with his prize, Fred and his wife are going to have some fun. “We’re going to spend it this summer,” he said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Guffy’s in Bellevue.
