Father and Son Split $200,000 Idaho Powerball Ticket!!! 

(Boise, ID) When Dan and James Whaley came into the Idaho Lottery offices, they didn’t know how much their winning Powerball ticket yielded; they only knew that it was more than $599 – the limit retailers can pay winners.  

“I checked it at the store and it played the song, so I knew I was a winner,” said James, the father. “I just put it in my pocket and didn’t tell him I thought it might be big.” 

“So I thought we’d just matched 4 numbers, maybe,” said Dan. But in fact, the pair had won the second prize for matching all 5 white balls -- $200,000. 

The men haven’t had time to decide what they will use the money for. “Maybe just pay bills,” said Dan. 

The winning ticket was purchased at Southway Shell in Lewiston.
