Idaho Couple Wins $10,000 on $2 Lottery Scratch Ticket!

BOISE – Bruce Herr and his girlfriend Rhonda are planning to beat the heat of North Idaho with a cool cash collection of $10,000 that they won on an Idaho Lottery Silver & Gold Slots scratch ticket. 

Bruce, who is self-employed, says some days are bigger money making days than others, and when he has extra loot he buys lottery tickets. Earlier this week, the couple bought $60 worth of tickets and won $90 right away. They were excited – but the excitement was just beginning because they had yet to hit the top prize ticket.  

“Thank goodness we live on a few acres, away from other homes,” Rhonda said. “Because I was screaming my head off when I realized we won!” 

The couple is planning to vacation in Boise for a few days but then put the rest of the money in savings. 

The winning ticket was purchased at a 7-11 in Hayden Lake.
