Idaho Falls area sells winning $200,000 Powerball ticket

 

Boise – Someone in the Idaho Falls area is holding a winning Powerball ticket worth $200,000.  The Idaho Lottery has confirmed one ticket matching all five numbers, but not the Powerball, in last night’s $206.9 million draw was sold in the Idaho Falls area.  The winning numbers for last night’s draw were 13, 24, 29, 40, and 52. The Powerball was 29.

 

“We are encouraging all our players in eastern Idaho to check their tickets carefully from last night’s Powerball draw,” said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. “We have had occasions where a player did not match the Powerball number and think they are not a winner.  In this case, the winning ticket matched every number but the Powerball and is worth $200,000.”

 

In addition to the $200,000 winning ticket, there were 17,679 additional winning tickets in Idaho for smaller prizes including seventeen $400 winners, ninety-four $100 winners, 341 $28 winners, 2,724 $28 winners, 533 $16 winners, 1,038 $12 winners, 4,531 $7 winners, and 8,381 $3 winners.

 

This is the first large Powerball win for Idaho since John Naillon of Boise claimed $400,000 in early July and the second big win in the greater Idaho Falls area since Charles Rexford won $200,000 from Beardall’s Bargain Barn in Arco back in May.

 

The winner has 180 days to claim their winning prize from Idaho Lottery headquarters in Boise.
