Idaho Lottery Player Hits $439,000 Wild Card Jackpot!
BOISE – Yesterday Kim Orgill said shelling out $3 for a latte seemed like a lot of money. Today it doesn’t because Kim matched all five winning numbers and the correct face card in the drawing Wednesday July 21, 2004, to win the Wild Card jackpot of $439,000!
The winning ticket was purchased at a Stinker Station store on Ustick Road in Boise. In fact, Kim, who is an electrician, was in the process of installing a hot tub in the home of the Stinker Station’s owner Charlie Jones. Kim called Charlie in the morning to say he wasn’t going to be in today, and the owner couldn’t have been more pleased – the store that sells a winning ticket automatically receives a retailer bonus. In this case, Charlie’s hot tub will be installed a little later but it’s okay since his store gets the $25,000 bonus.
With the money, Kim says he’ll pay off his debts and buy his wife a new Toyota Tacoma
The Wild Card Jackpot returns to $100,000 now and the next draw is Saturday July 24, 2004, at 8:59pm MST.
