Store Owner Wins $25,000 Cashword Top Prize! 

BOISE – Roger McAtee often works 80 hours per week at the Spirit of Hico convenience store that he bought last year in Spirit Lake. When business is slow, he beats boredom by playing Idaho Lottery scratch tickets but when it comes to prizes, “I never win anything, not even a dollar,” he says.  

Things changed for Roger yesterday when he scratched a winning $3 Naughty or Nice Cashword ticket and uncovered a top prize of $25,000.  

Roger is going to put the money back into the store and toward his employees. “Now I can keep all of my employees this winter without cutting their hours,” he says. “And maybe I won’t have to work 80 hours a week myself!” 

Along with the prize, Roger’s store will also get the automatic 10% selling bonus that all stores get for selling a winning ticket.
