(Boise) – We have our first $8,000 winner, Willard Fowler of Blackfoot, Idaho, in the Idaho Lottery’s Crazy 8’s 2nd Chance Drawing promotion. All Willard did was to simply send in 8 non-winning scratch tickets from any eligible instant scratch game in an official Crazy 8’s envelope. Willard chose to send in 4 Super Lucky 7’s and 4 Cashword Bonus non-winning scratch tickets.

The Lottery contacted him first thing Monday morning to tell him the great news. Willard did not believe it. In fact the only way to convince Willard was to give him the Idaho Lottery 800 number. Dialing the 800 number Willard reached the Idaho Lottery and found out it was indeed true. He had just won the first $8,000 drawing. Willard was now a believer.

The Crazy 8’s 2nd Chance Drawing is an 8-week promotion that began on September 8. Each week a Lottery player can send in 8 of their non-winning scratch tickets from any eligible instant scratch ticket. These scratch tickets must be mailed to the Idaho Lottery in an official Crazy 8’s envelope. There were 1,650 entries for this first drawing.

For 8 weeks, each Friday, there is a drawing and one winner will win $8,000. Drawings start over every week and players can enter each week throughout this promotion. Entries must be received by noon each Friday. The final drawing is November 2, 2001.

So any Lottery player should save their non- winning scratch tickets and send in 8 each week until November 2 for a chance to win $8,000 in the Crazy 8’s 2nd Chance Drawing promotion.
