By making math concepts visual and kinesthetic, these tools will support my students with learning gaps and make them an active participant in their learning and problem solving.  Developing Number Sense Activity Cards: This kit was developed to be used with Kathy Richardson’s book “Developing Number Sense: Addition and Subtraction book 2” This kit will save me hours copying, cutting and preparing small group and independent stations for practicing math skills."

Teacher Timothy Kerrigan says "At Farmin Stidwell Elementary, our Outdoor Education program is dedicated to fostering a deep connection between students and the natural world through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. We are seeking funding for an exciting new unit called "Owl Exploration", which will give students the opportunity to study Idaho's Great Horned Owl and its role in the local ecosystem. Through this grant, we aim to purchase Great Horned Owl pellets, student dissection guides, anatomical skeleton models, and a comprehensive dissection curriculum. These materials will allow students to engage in real-world science by dissecting owl pellets to discover the bones of prey animals, explore food chains, and analyze predator-prey relationships. This activity enhances critical thinking and scientific observation while also supporting our school’s integrated STEM objectives."
