BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô Casey Tapper of Idaho Falls continued eastern Idaho's lucky winning streak late Monday afternoon when she claimed a $70,000 Lottery prize on Emerald Green 7's. Eastern Idaho is currently the hot spot for winning Scratch Games in Idaho. Tapper is the latest of six eastern Idaho top prize winners who have collectively claimed $280,000 in the past five weeks.
"I bought the ticket at about 10:00 in the morning and scratched it in my truck," explained Tapper who is expecting her family's first child in the fall. "When I saw that I'd won $70,000, I started to shake!"
Tapper then called her husband who at first thought she'd wrecked their truck. When she finally convinced him she'd won $70,000, the pair drove to Boise to claim their prize.
"I don't think I'll be able to sleep at all tonight when I get home," said a thrilled Tapper.
The family plans to use their winnings to help with having their child later in the year. Tapper bought her winning ticket at the Quick Stop on John Adams Parkway in Idaho Falls. For their part in selling the winning ticket, Quick Stop will receive a bonus from the Idaho Lottery of $8,400.
